Wikin te Taetae ni Kiribati - Kiribati Language Week

Wikin te Taetae ni Kiribati - Kiribati Language Week

Celebrate: 7 – 13 July

The 2024 theme for Kiribati Language Week is ‘Eutakirakean ma kabwaekekean ara taetae ni Kiribati ma kateira ao rabakaura, bon maurin ao tokabetin te I-Kiribati - Thriving and flourishing our Kiribati language, culture, and knowledge build I-Kiribati resilience and prosperity’

This theme derives from the overarching Language Week Series theme for 2024, 'Sustainability'. This aligns with the UNESCO Decade of Indigenous Languages and the long-term vision in the Pacific Languages Strategy.

More resources for Kiribati Language Week, including social media graphics and posters will be uploaded before the language week takes place, so check back for more soon! Previous years' resources can be found below.
