As part of the New Zealand Government’s response and Unite Against COVID-19 campaign, MPP has launched a complementary campaign about receiving the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

When you get vaccinated, you’re not just protecting yourself but also your aiga, friends, churches and community. The vaccine is free and available to everyone aged 16 and over. It will help to protect Aotearoa from COVID-19.

Watch our COVID-19 vaccine educational videos below to find out about the vaccination journey and how the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine works.

Each journey starts with one step, a step that can impact generations. COVID-19 is now part of our journey in Aotearoa. We now need to lean on our faith, culture, and come together as a family and a community to journey towards possibilities. Let's journey for each other. Get your COVID-19 vaccine.

How the COVID-19 vaccine works

The COVID-19 vaccine teaches your own immune system to recognize and fight off the virus. The vaccine cannot give you the disease. It does not contain the virus or anything that can affect your DNA. The vaccine has gone completely from your body within days leaving your immune system stronger and ready for action if COVID-19 comes near you. You'll need two doses at least three weeks apart to ensure you have the best protection. Make sure you get both doses of the vaccine. Find out more at www.covid19.govt.nz
