Toloa Pacific tertiary scholarships open
The Ministry is calling all Pacific tertiary students who want to pursue a career in STEM to apply for one of the eight scholarships on offer.
Eight Toloa tertiary scholarships are now available for Pacific students wanting to pursue studies in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) subjects.
The scholarships are valued up to $25,000 each.
The scholarships cover course and compulsory fees and will be paid over a period of three years to the successful first year undergraduate or postgraduate recipients.
Scholarship recipients will also receive mentoring while they are studying.
This is the third year the scholarships have been offered, and are part of a broader programme established in 2015 to get more Pacific students involved in STEM subjects.
The Toloa scholarships are funded by the Ministry for Pacific Peoples.
The Ministry is encouraging those who are eligible to complete the online application form, attach the documents requested and submit before the closing date.
Applications for the Toloa Scholarships close on Wednesday 15 November 2017.
