Polyfest continues to grow
This year's Polyfest continues with the Northern Schools’ Polyfest held at Te Rauparaha Arena in Porirua last week.
Hosted by Mana College, the festival proved to be another great display of music, dances and performances.
Neighbouring colleges Aotea, Bishop Viard, Newlands, Onslow, and Porirua took part with Samuel Marsden Collegiate School performing onstage for the first time.
The arena was colourful as students celebrated their culture and demonstrated why it is such a big event on any region’s calendar.
The festival has been around for a few years now, with many students rehearsing each year to take part in it.
This is a great way to promote Pacific cultures in New Zealand and build relationships with ethnic groups amongst the participating schools.
