Invitation to attend Pacific radio AGM
Pacific communities are invited to attend the national Pacific Radio Network annual general fono this Thursday, 23 November. The network covers Radio 531pi and Niu FM, and includes nine Pacific language programmes through them and its online platforms.
The Chairman of the National Pacific Radio Trust Tiumalu Peter Fa’afiu is inviting Pacific communities to be part of this meeting and have their say.
Tiumalu says it has been a busy time for the network and it is important for the Trust to continue to engage with Pacific communities across the country about what the Pacific Media Network has achieved over the last 12 months and about looking forward.
“We are delighted to share with you the progress and important milestones of our radio network over the 2016/17 financial year. Most importantly, the new Board would like to share some early thinking in regard to the future direction of the Network.”
“We operate in a highly competitive environment. Like any other organisation we must adapt our content, programming, partnerships, and information platforms to what our audience and customers need and want.”
The Ministry encourages our Pacific communities to attend and be part of the planning going forward.
The Fono will be held at the Pacific Media Network headquarters on Level 4, Merial House, Osterley Way, Manukau City from 6:00 – 9.00pm.
